The rejuvenation and aesthetic services our patients request most often include:

Anti-Aging Treatments

Many men are faced with the common effects of aging including facial wrinkles, creases and folds, thin or flat lips, and hollow areas under the eyes, temples, and cheeks. Fortunately, there are numerous injectable treatments like Botox and dermal fillers available to instantly reverse the signs of aging.

These non-surgical treatments work in various ways to provide volume and lift to targeted problem areas — smoothing out wrinkles and lines, plumping flat lips, and correcting hollow areas. Today’s injectables have the power to provide complete facial rejuvenation, giving patients a more fresh and relaxed appearance.

Injectable treatments are fast and relatively painless, requiring little to no recovery time. In fact, many of our patients complete a full treatment during their lunch hour. Injectables are also less expensive compared to traditional cosmetic surgery. The combination of no down time and minimal cost makes injectable treatments a great alternative to surgery for correcting the effects of aging. Types of injectables:

Neurotoxins — Neuromuscular toxins such as Botox, Dysport and Xeomin are used for smoothing deep, persistent lines and wrinkles that develop over time. These injectables are derived from a family of neurotoxins that prevent nerve signals in muscles from contracting; they relax the facial muscles that cause lines and wrinkles. The positive effects of treatment by neuromuscular-based injectables usually lasts between 3 and 6 months.

Dermal Fillers — Dermal fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane, Radiesse, or Sculptra provide volume to soften folds or fill in hollows that develop in the face over time. They are extremely popular treatments among men because they offer instant effects, no downtime, and very little discomfort. The effects of dermal fillers usually last between 4 and 6 months.

Kybella — Kybella is a first in class revolutionary treatment to better define the jawline and eliminate fullness under the chin (double chin). Men are thrilled with this completely non-surgical, scar-free treatment to address this area.  The results are long-lasting and the fat that is removed is permanent. Treatment comprises of small injections of the Kybella medication under the chin. The active ingredient of Kybella is a naturally occurring compound deoxycholic acid that breaks down unwanted fat. Gradual reduction in fullness of the under chin and jawline area occurs in the following weeks to months.

Hyperhidrosis (Excessive Sweating)

Hyperhidrosis is a medical condition that involves excessive sweating — under the arms, on the hands, and feet, or on the forehead. Severe hyperhidrosis often goes undiagnosed, misdiagnosed, and untreated due to lack of awareness. Botox can treat hyperhidrosis by blocking the nerves that stimulate sweat glands. Botox for hyperhidrosis has a very high satisfaction rate and results typically last 7-9 months to significantly decrease or inhibit sweat and odor in the treated areas. Most commonly treated areas include: underarms, palms, scalp, forehead, and soles.

Hair Restoration

Male pattern baldness typically begins on the top and front of the head, resulting in thinning and eventual hair loss. It is caused by a combination of genetics and a loss of hormones. Although this condition cannot be cured, it can be treated and improved with hair restoration treatments.

Low-level laser light therapy — Low-level laser light therapy is a popular form of treatment for hair loss. The method has shown promise for the stimulation and regeneration of hair follicles. Approved as safe and effective as a hair loss treatment by the FDA, laser stimulation changes the way nutrients get absorbed into hair follicles, supporting the chemistry that produces more effective hair growth.

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) — Platelet-rich plasma therapy is showing exceptional results for some patients, especially those in the early stages of hair loss. While the effectiveness of PRP treatment for hair loss is not yet well-documented, PRP therapy has been used successfully for years to treat sports injuries, and it is showing significant efficacy in facial cosmetic treatments.

PRP is an autologous concentrated preparation of platelets and its associated growth factors in a small volume of plasma. Platelets are a natural source of a number of growth factors in their organic and biologically-determined ratios. The concentration of platelets — and, thereby, the concentration of growth factors in PRP — can be 5 to 10 times greater (or richer) than usual.

Platelets are extremely powerful because they release growth factors that regulate the healing cascade by signaling surrounding cells to repair damaged tissue and regenerate new tissue.

The procedure involves drawing a patient’s blood and subsequently concentrating it so that it contains up to 10 times the normal level of platelets, then injecting the concentrated plasma into the scalp. Growth factors carried in platelets aid the reactivation of the thinning, underproductive hair follicles.

Penile Rejuvenation

The goal of penile rejuvenation is to stimulate blood flow to the penis to help optimize erections, sensitivity, and sexual performance.

Low-intensity extracorporeal shock wave therapy (Li-ESWT) — Low-intensity extracorporeal shock wave therapy is the latest advancement in the treatment of erectile dysfunction. It is a non-surgical, non-medication solution to improving your natural erections. Li-ESWT works by focusing wave energy painlessly to your penis. This then stimulates growth factors which help to make new blood vessels that improve blood flow to the erect penis to help with firmness and more spontaneous erections.

According to studies on low-intensity wave therapy there up to a 70% rate of success on selected men that undergo treatment. The best results are from men that have erectile dysfunction which is either mild or moderate. This means that Li-ESWT works on men that are on pills or that pills no longer work.

Low-intensity wave therapy has been shown to convert men that no longer respond to oral medication to respond again.

It can also strengthen the erections of men that have the beginning signs of erectile dysfunction and also allow men to stop taking their oral medication.

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) — Platelet-rich plasma therapy is a relatively new treatment for erectile dysfunction that uses a patient’s own plasma that is highly concentrated with platelets.

To prepare PRP therapy, a small sample of blood is drawn (similar to a lab test sample) and placed in a centrifuge that spins the blood at high speeds, separating the platelets from the other components. The concentrated platelet-rich component is then injected into specific areas of the penis to restore erectile function.

Where PRP seems most promising is in combination with low-intensity extracorporeal shock wave therapy (LI-ESWT). Although the exact science behind the effects of PRP is still not precisely understood, it is theorized that the growth factors present in platelets promote tissue recovery and healing. PRP used in conjunction with a neovascularization therapy, such as LI-ESWT, could result in greater improvements, likely due to additional tissue renewal, stimulated by the addition of platelets to the neovascularization process. Since the combined therapies are regenerative, PRP and LI-ESWT may produce long-lasting results.
